Working Permanent Part Time allows you to feel security, while taking advantage of a work/life balance. You will be responsible for providing facility, building and asset security, including protecting the personal safety of patients, staff, visitors and the general public whilst on health services land.
With just a 40 minutes drive from Woorabinda, you will reach the rural town of Duaringa, where you can explore the museum, view locally made arts and crafts and explore the beautiful Mackenzie Rover Crossing.
NOTE: A zero alcohol carriage and possession limit applies to the community of Woorabinda.

About us:
Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service offer a range of health services including emergency, acute inpatient and outpatient care. Our visiting specialists offer respiratory, cardiology and paediatric clinics.
The Emergency Preparedness Services provides emergency preparedness and disaster planning across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, inclusive of fire safety and security services, building and asset protection, risk management and personal safety of patients, staff, visitors, and the general public.

About the role:
- Experienced in working collaboratively and respectfully with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Conduct both vehicle mounted and foot patrols of all internal and external areas of the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service, facilities and accommodation sites to ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors, and patients.
- Responding to calls for assistance and the management of aggressive patients and visitors on health services land as per the aggressive behaviour management protocols and methodology within response time requirements.
- Report maintenance issues including breakages, identified hazards and risks.
About you:
- Well-developed knowledge in the methods, techniques and procedures involved with the provision of Fire Safety and Security services within a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated successful communication, oral and written (both hard copy and electronic) skills relevant to the position, including conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work commitments and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated ability of working effectively with the public, in a First Nation Community and in a small Team.
- Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices, including Workplace Health and Safety, Employee Equity, Anti-Discrimination and ethical behaviours.
- Demonstrated ability to work with in a multi-disciplinary environment.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $41,664 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $36.66 - $38.61 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
