Your new role:
As a Registered Nurse in the Permanent Nurse Pool, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care across multiple clinical areas within Metro South Health. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will apply sound clinical judgement, adapt to changing environments, and contribute to excellence in patient outcomes.
You will be accountable for your own practice and the delegation of care, while supporting quality, education, research, and professional leadership across the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Working collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health teams
- Adapting quickly to different clinical environments and models of care
- Providing education and support to patients, families, and carers

About us:
The Permanent Nurse Pool (PNP) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is one of the largest and most dynamic units within the hospital. The PNP consists of dedicated and multi-skilled AINs, ENs and RNs.
The PNP supports clinical and non-clinical areas across the hospital and associated health services covering emergent leave, workload increases and additional supplementary staffing needs.
Working on the PNP provides a unique opportunity for staff to develop skills that are not bound to one specialty but are transferable across all areas, developing staff both personally and professionally.
