About the role
The role of the Food Services Supervisor is responsible for supporting and coordinating food distribution and production services to meet organisational goals in the main kitchen. This position supports the Food Service Manager and liaises with multi-disciplinary teams to provide a timely and responsive Food Service to patients at Ipswich Hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrate appropriate experience which relate to the Food service
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use initiative, work with a minimum of supervision, communicate and work cooperatively with other members of a multidisciplinary team.
- An understanding and appreciation of the need for client/patient and facility confidentiality, privacy and abide by the Code of Conduct at all times
- Understanding of or an ability to acquire knowledge of hygiene standards, infection control practices, food safety standards, workplace health and safety, total quality management, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination practices and behaviour as applied in the working environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
