Lead Patient Flow & Bed Management at Logan Hospital

Metro South Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the Patient Flow Bed Management Unit at Logan Hospital. These permanent part-time positions play a critical role in coordinating patient flow and access across Logan and Beaudesert Health Service.

Your new role:

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide advanced clinical and operational leadership to support effective patient flow and bed management across the health service.

• Coordinate and manage patient flow, bed allocation and access pathways in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide expert clinical leadership and decision-making to support safe, efficient care delivery and achievement of key performance indicators.
• Support clinical redesign, data analysis and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient flow outcomes.

About you:

You are a confident and collaborative nursing leader with strong expertise in patient flow and operational coordination.

• Proven ability to apply advanced clinical judgement, problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
