About the role
You will provide clinical assessment, diagnostic testing and care within established protocols while developing your independence and expertise under the guidance of senior clinicians. This role offers the opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to meaningful patient outcomes in a leading tertiary hospital.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Demonstrate a competent level of knowledge, skills and expertise in orthoptics clinical practice.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the orthoptics and interprofessional team and with patients and their families to provide value based and collaborative care.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality activities to enhance the delivery of orthoptics and/or allied health services.
- Provide student education and clinical practice supervision for less experienced practitioners, commensurate with the level of experience, as well as direction support staff and work experience students, under guidance of senior clinical practitioners.
