About us:
The Emergency Department at Rockhampton Hospital serves as a critical care facility providing urgent and emergency medical services to the local community and surrounding regions. It is equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies, including trauma, medical illnesses, and other urgent health issues. The department operates 24/7, staffed by a team of healthcare professionals including emergency Physicians, Nurses, and support staff dedicated to delivering prompt and comprehensive care.
About the role:
The Emergency Department Data Officer (EDDO) provides support to the Emergency Department Business Practice Improvement Officer (ED BPIO) in the delivery of technical advice and high-quality data auditing to meet mandatory and statutory reporting requirements. This involves monitoring, reviewing, and improving the quality of health activity data collected in the Emergency Department of Rockhampton Hospital (and peripheral Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service sites) with the aim of assuring quality health information is reported in line with state-wide and local Emergency Departments Key Performance Indicators (KPI) requirements.
About you:
- While not mandatory, advanced skills in QHERS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Email (Outlook) to prepare data requests, and collation of information would be well regarded.
- Ability to quickly develop expertise in other information technology systems and databases to extract data and develop reports would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information systems for their ability to collect information and report health information.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data collection and reporting requirements related to Emergency Department KPI's.
- Well-developed and high level oral and written communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $81,150 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $48.86 - $53.71 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
