About us:
BreastScreen Queensland Rockhampton Service operates within the guidelines of the BreastScreen Australia and BreastScreen Queensland Programs. These programs are funded through Commonwealth/State to provide a free population-based mammography screening and assessment service to women within the target age group 50 – 74 years. In addition, women aged 40 – 49 and over 74 can access the program.
The service seeks to provide a first-class screening service to women employing state of the art equipment. Staff work collectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure services are patient centred, safe and delivered in an environment that is appropriate and reliable.
About the role:
- Undertake accurate and timely medical typing, ensuring letters and reports are forwarded to General Practitioners and clients by required deadlines.
- Provide an efficient booking and reception service, including the ability to prioritise tasks to support a quality client-focussed service.
- Process client records, correspondence, radiology and pathology reports to ensure accurate data entry is performed by required timeframes.
- Demonstrated use of database applications for accurate collection of client information, as well as sound knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated consultative, negotiation, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills with an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment, ensuring confidentiality of client information at all times.
About you:
- While not mandatory, previous medical typing experience would be well regarded.
- A high level of knowledge and skill in administrative work practices and secretarial support.
- The ability to provide strong communication and problem-solving skills demonstrating an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment, ensuring the confidentiality of clients at all times.
- Promote quality assurance activities to improve data collection practices.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $79,606 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.38 – $46.10 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
