Your new role:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist (HP4), you will deliver advanced, evidence-based occupational therapy services to older adults presenting to the Emergency Department. You will provide clinical leadership, support patient flow and safety, and contribute to service development within a high-performing interdisciplinary team.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver complex geriatric OT assessment, intervention and discharge planning
  • Act as a senior clinical reference within Emergency and Allied Health teams
  • Supervise and support HP3 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants
  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives

About you:

You are an experienced Occupational Therapist who thrives in complex, fast-paced clinical environments and brings strong clinical judgement and leadership capability.

You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration and tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Advanced experience delivering OT services in emergency or acute settings
  • Strong clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage complexity with confidence

Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
