About us:
Allied health play an important role in achieving the objectives set out in our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy. Allied health work closely with medical, nursing, technical and operational colleagues, and community partners to optimise patient recovery and well-being. About the role:
- Deliver professional allied health clinical and non-clinical services commensurate with experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
- Actively contribute to service and caseload management and planning within the work unit.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary person-centred care as well as coordinated and integrated service delivery through effective communication with teams, patients, and their families/caregivers.
- Provide clinical practice and operational supervision to work experience students, or those involved in observational clinical placements. As level of experience increases, provide clinical education for students and less experienced staff with support of senior clinical staff.
- Participate in professional support activities including, but not limited to, supervision and/or mentoring.
About you:
- Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Health Science (or equivalent)
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Occupational Therapy
- Pharmacy
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Speech Pathology
- You possess current registration (AHPRA) or eligibility for membership with your relevant professional body.
- You demonstrate a deep commitment to the values of Care, Integrity, Respect, and Commitment.
- You have the ability to adapt your clinical skills to a diverse, regional environment.
- You communicate with warmth and compassion when interacting with patients and colleagues.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.60 - $73.24 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h. (temp/perm)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
