Tell me more...   This position in collaboration with the Director MHAODS will lead and progress high-quality strategic and operational mental health care to consumers residing within TCHHS communities in the perinatal period who are experiencing mental illness.  They will work in partnership with women, their partners and families requiring preconception, antenatal and/or postpartum (up to 24months) mental health care as part of the multidisciplinary Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team.   The role will provide culturally sensitive, evidence-based treatment and care (including alcohol and drug services as required) aimed at enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of consumers in the perinatal period, contributing to positive mental health outcomes, recovery from mental illness and minimising the likelihood of future mental health challenges and/or disability. Care may be provided through a range of modalities including Telehealth consultations as a remote service. The role will provide Psychiatric Medical opinion and review to perinatal consumers open to the Perinatal and Infant Mental health Team and participate in the clinical case review processes with the team.
