Mackay Hospital and Health Service (HHS) is seeking a Manager, Workforce Recruitment to lead and inspire our dedicated recruitment team. Shape the Future of Recruitment

Provide high level, expert and strategic advice on key recruitment issues within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service while leading organisational strategies to enhance the professional practice and management of the recruitment team.

The position is responsible for the research, development and implementation of attraction, selection and retention strategies, frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms. 

The undertaking of continuous reviews to drive innovative and value-add strategic recruitment initiatives to meet the current and future workforce requirements of the Mackay Hospital and Health Service providing a high level of leadership and management in the delivery of recruitment and workforce planning activities within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.

To develop and support a culture within the Recruitment team that encourages and recognises high performance; builds leadership capabilities and support staff to maximise their potential, health and wellbeing.

 

The Team You'll Be Joining

The People and Culture Portfolio plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic objectives of the Mackay HHS. Comprising of Employment Relations, Organisational Development, Work Health and Safety, and Recruitment, the portfolio provides expert guidance and operational support across key workforce domains.

Its core mandate is to develop and implement workforce strategies that ensure that Mackay HHS is equipped with the necessary skills, capabilities, and organisational culture to meet both current and future service demands. This includes initiatives focused on workforce supply, recruitment and retention, leadership development, and the promotion of safe and healthy working environments.

By fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement, the People and Culture Portfolio contributes directly to creating a respectful, inclusive, empowering and caring place to work, learn and grow. 

 

About our Hospital and Health Service

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
