About your role
As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide advanced clinical social work services within a busy acute hospital environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patients, families and carers through complex clinical presentations.
You will:
- Deliver comprehensive social work assessments, risk assessment, planning and interventions across acute clinical areas
- Provide evidence-informed, patient-centred care within an interprofessional team
- Act as a clinical reference point for the social work team and respond to complex clinical demands
- Provide supervision, education and support to HP3 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants
- Participate in non-standard rosters including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
About you
You are an experienced and motivated social worker with strong clinical judgement, leadership capability and a passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality care in acute health settings.
You will bring:
- A recognised tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the AASW
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex social work services within acute hospital environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience providing supervision, training and clinical support to less experienced staff and students
- Willingness to travel across Bayside Health sites
