About the role
Permanent opportunity to provide clinical leadership and services across the Community Forensic Outreach Service (CFOS) within the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS). CFOS provides services to and builds capacity within HHS mental health services in the assessment and management of patients who have committed an offence; are alleged to have committed an offence; or are at significant risk of committing an offence.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds, or forensic status.
- Lead and manage staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality in the delivery of health care by maintaining and evaluating safety and quality practices and initiatives.
- Oversee and supervise the provision of clinical services to consumers of the CFOS
- Take a leadership role in the strategic planning and development of Queensland's Forensic Mental Health Services in collaboration with members of the QFMHS leadership team.
- Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals and support the implementation of evidence based clinical practice.
