Role details

The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Trades Coordinator (Rural) to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

The primary focus of your role will be to assist the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services Management team with the delivery of Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services at sites and facilities within the Mackay HHS. This position requires the candidate to lead, direct and be accountable for the day-to-day operations for Contractors and coordinate trade services in supporting the Facilities.

About the Team

The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services department has three distinct sections, the Maintenance Team, Capital Works and Administration Team.  The Building Engineering and Maintenance Services provides integral maintenance and engineering support for multiple facilities, across the Mackay HHS, to ensure relevant compliance to OH&S and all relevant AS/NZ standards. We provide a one-point contact for all building and facility related information.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
