Role details
The Sarina Hospital is seeking applications for a Director of Nursing/ Facility Management to join their team on a Temporary basis.

Your opportunity
To experience a diverse satisfying role as the Director of Nursing/Facility Manager in a rural /remote facility which has both an operational and professional responsibility for the facility providing executive leadership and management of the facility as well professional expertise for nursing.
The Director of Nursing/Facility Manager provides financial management and support to Business Manager, leads and contributes to the strategic and operational planning and decision-making process within the Facility and MHHS and is responsible for the overall governance of the service.
The roles and locations of the facilities within the MHHS are diverse and includes the overall planning, coordination, and direction relating to the provision of evidence based clinical care, development of partnership models, clinical governance and strategies to support research and education. The role includes management of direct reports including medical, allied health, nursing and support services. The geographical location of the facility leads to various service types and levels. Each facility service is identified in the Clinical Service Capability Framework between level 2 to 4 offering opportunity to experience a wide variety of service delivery.
The role may include, but is not limited to:
a) Working within an expansive and/or complex health service environment.
b) Working within a large facility/service/area.
c) Responsibility for cohort of staff directly reporting and overall responsibility for all staff.
d) Working in geographically diverse environment/s and complex population demographics.
e) Consultation and provision of advice on health policy and strategy impacting on the profession.
f) Development, coordination or operational management of a designated service improvement and/or service portfolio.
