An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to join the Transition Program within the Interventional Suites and Clinical Investigations Unit.
The Interventional Suites manages its own admission and recovery pathways, ensuring patients experience seamless, continuous care throughout their procedural journey.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to participate in our structured transition program, designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to practise independently as a member of the Interventional Suites nursing team. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who is highly motivated, committed to professional growth, and able to proactively assess and address their own learning needs while maintaining a positive and adaptable approach.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare patients for their procedures and assist the interventionalist in the following:
– Diagnostic angiography,
– Interventional Angiography - Angioplasty and stenting,
– Coiling and embolisation.
– Device implantation (CVAD / PPM).
– Drainages and aspirations.
– Thermo / RF Ablation procedures.
– CT and USS procedures. - Administer procedural sedation and monitor patient vital signs throughout.
- Perform post procedure cares, including post anaesthetic.
Salary between $85 236 - $109 330 p.a. or $3267.10 - $4190.60p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $42.98 - $55.13 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Multiple Fixed Term Temporary Full-time and/or Part-time positions available, hours negotiable.)
