Role details
The MIRI Innovation & Redesign Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Director to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The role will manage and drive improvements/innovation with a broad MHHS focus that requires a high level of project management and return-on-investment analysis, facilitation and stakeholder engagement to ensure senior level clinical partnership in resolving problems and harnessing opportunities that benefit them as key MIRI IRU customers.
About the Team
A key objective for the Mackay Hospital and Health Service (MHHS) is to establish a Project Management Office (PMO), including practical project facilitation support (resources to streamline the implementation of ideas/concepts), across the service. The Innovation and Redesign Unit (IRU), as part of the Mackay Institute of Research and Innovation (MIRI) was established to support the MHHS's vision to build a culture of innovation and facilitate change and redesign projects on the ground in partnership with clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring measurable and sustainable outcomes are achieved.

About our Hospital and Health Service
Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
