There is an expectation the role will work within the variety of program areas in Forensic and Secure Services, actively contribute to service improvement activities, and provide supervision to less experienced practitioners.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to apply high level knowledge and skills to undertake non-routine clinical social work practice with a broad understanding within continuum of care in the context of Forensic and Secure Services.
- Ability to apply high level of profession specific knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical assessments and intervention in the context of mental health services.
- Ability to exercise high level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to provide clinical leadership and advise to multidisciplinary teams and to develop partnerships in service delivery.
- Ability to maintain respect for others, remaining flexible,fair and willing to compromise when dealing with team members.
- Ability to articulate social work perspective in the context of the multidisciplinary team and maintain respectful interactions with differing professional opinions.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties
