Administration Officer – Support Patients & Clinical Teams in Princess Alexandra Hospital
We’re seeking a proactive and compassionate Ward Administration Officer to join our hospital team for weekday afternoon shifts (3:30pm–7:30pm). As the first point of contact on the ward, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients, families and clinical staff by delivering professional reception, admissions and administrative services.

Your new role:
As the Ward Administration Officer, you'll be the central coordination point for ward-based administrative services, ensuring smooth patient flow and high-quality front-line support. You'll work closely with clinical and administrative teams to facilitate safe, efficient service delivery across the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary reception contact on the ward, managing incoming calls and visitor enquiries with professionalism and care
- Accurately transfer messages and information to support patients and staff
- Conduct patient interviews and complete the Patient Election Form (PEF) process
- Coordinate patient admissions, discharges and transfers, ensuring all documentation and system updates are completed in a timely manner

Monday – Friday | 3:30pm – 7:30pm
