About us:
Atherton Hospital is a 56-bed acute rural inpatient facility located on the southern Atherton Tablelands. The health care team at Atherton Hospital is committed to providing excellence in patient care.
Atherton Hospital Emergency Department (ED) is a 9-bed unit, including a 2-bay resus. Nursing staff are also deployed to a Medical Outpatients clinic, Cardiology clinic and CT service. The ED provides a twenty four-hour, seven day a week emergency service for the assessment, treatment, admission, transfer and discharge of adults and children with emergent, urgent, and non-urgent illnesses and injuries.

About your role:
- Full patient assessments (including cardiac, respiratory, paediatric etc)
- Direct patient care including assisting with all ADLs.
- Performing vitals, ECGs, cardiac monitoring, urinalysis and other testing.
- Phlebotomy, IV cannulation and management of central lines (PICCS, PORTS etc).
- Performing wound care and insertion & management of IDCs, NGTs.
