Your opportunity:

  • The Clinical Midwife Consultant - Supporting Healthier Pregnancies position reports to the Nursing & Midwifery Director and is a part of the implementation of Supporting Healthier Pregnancy Initiative under the Putting Queensland Kids First Strategy to improve the current and future health of pregnant people and their children through strengthening preventive health care and recommended screening during routine public antenatal care, with clear pathways to ongoing support.
  • The Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) is a clinical leader, accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of patient centred clinical practice specific to antenatal care.
  • The CMC demonstrates sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory and provides clinical leadership, advice and advocacy to a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing and/or midwifery services which are consistent with contemporary standards, guidelines, relevant legislation and best practice.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $84,569 p.a., comprising salary between $68.86 - $74.76 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (Permanent Part Time, 38 hours p.f.)
