About your opportunity:
In this role, you will be accountable for leading the delivery of a safe and sustainable high-quality, multi-disciplinary public dental service across 31 community, hospital, prison/detention centres, mobile and fixed school clinic sites. The Townsville Oral Health Service provides dental services in locations across the full breadth of the THHS catchment's facilities, from Richmond in the West to Palm Island and from Home Hill in the South to the Cardwell in the North.
Please note - this is a fixed term temporary full-time role, from 04/05/2026 to 03/05/2027, located in Townsville.
About the unit:
Oral Health is one of the primary health care services which sit under the Women's and Children's Service Group Corporate and Clinical Governance Structure. The Townsville Oral Health Service is responsible for the provision of oral health services across the greater Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $5957.70 to $6304.00 p.f. (AO8)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Role Requirements:
- Whilst not mandatory a strong background and/or qualifications in health, business or clinical management are highly desirable.
- Possession of class C drivers' licence.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted, including criminal history clearance.
