Your new role:
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care under the supervision of senior medical staff, with responsibilities including:
- Assessing, examining and arranging appropriate investigations for patients
- Initiating and reviewing treatment and discharge plans under supervision
- Participating in emergency care, procedures and operating theatre lists
- Working across Birthing Suites, Maternity Assessment Centre, Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and outpatient clinics
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and effective clinical handover
- Participating in education sessions, audits, research and continuous improvement activities
- Supervising and supporting junior medical staff and students where required
About you:
You are a motivated and patient-focused medical practitioner who thrives in a team-based clinical environment, bringing:
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills in obstetrics and gynaecology (or strong interest in Women's Health)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and carers
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and NSQHS Standards
- Effective time management and ability to perform in high-pressure environments
- A collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
