The role partners with stakeholders to design, implement and evaluate sustainable, culturally safe and evidence-based workforce initiatives that enhance service delivery and improve health outcomes for First Nations communities across Queensland.
What you'll do
- Provide high-quality, timely advice on workforce transformation, capability development, governance and performance improvement strategies.
- Lead and support workforce development initiatives, including training, clinical education programs, and service redesign projects aligned with First Nations workforce priorities.
- Analyse and interpret workforce data, research and budgets to inform strategy, business cases, project planning and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop and maintain policies, systems, procedures and reports to support implementation, monitoring and evaluation of initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including community-controlled organisations, government agencies and professional networks, to drive collaborative and sustainable outcomes.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues and primary health care principles.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement culturally safe workforce development programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- Proven analytical, project management and problem-solving skills to support workforce transformation.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build influential partnerships across community, government and health sectors.
Mandatory Requirements:
- To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders.
- Relevant Diploma qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (or Primary Health Care Practice).
- For Health Practitioners: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
