The key purpose of the role is to provide the effective and timely coordination of business support functions enabling business continuity and success. The Assistant Business Manager, within the Financial Services Team, provides quality assurance in the form of valuable and ethical compliance and governance, assisting management’s decision-making processes. The role is also required to assist senior management by coordinating and managing financial, human resource management and procurement processes for the division.

Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability
• Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of contemporary financial management, human resource and procurement legislation, policies, and frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully leading, managing and developing a diverse team within a high-pressure environment.
• Proven ability in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to directly enhance service delivery outcomes and expectations.
• Demonstrate high level consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to direct and influence others through the provision of advice and preparation of reports, briefs, recommendations, and proposals.
• Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and interpret issues and develop quality options and strategies to resolve complex executive and business matters.
• Behave in a manner which demonstrates that Business Services is a customer focused and professional service.
