The role: 

This pivotal leadership role within Delivery Services Branch is responsible for developing and implementing best practice Project Delivery capability across eHealth Queensland that enhances delivery excellence and achievement of outcomes on-time, to specification and on budget.  It provides strategic leadership, engaging diverse stakeholders and looks to integrate all delivery solution services including people, processes, tools, frameworks, standards, and functions.

With a strong focus on building the capability of project delivery within Delivery Services Branch the role will be accountable for the quality assurance of deliverables and their compliance with best practice and appropriate Queensland Health and whole-of-Government policy requirements. They will also be accountable for staff self-assessments to align competencies with competency and staff development frameworks to ensure the team and staff knowledge are current and relevant to the needs of customers' requests. Continuously look for opportunities to improve services in keeping with Queensland Health Standards and best practices, as well as industry frameworks for project management.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, building and leading a Project Delivery community of practice or service within an ICT portfolio, program, and project environment
  • Demonstrated experience developing competency frameworks and self-assessment tools aligned with industry standards.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, managing and undertaking Project Delivery services and activities and influencing all parties to confirm to those practices.
  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring people in Project Delivery roles and responsibilities.
  • Proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and effective written and oral communication skills for use in complex program/project environment.
  • Proven experience as an agent of change in challenging environments, fostering a confident and capable workforce and in driving a culture of collaboration and participation.
  • Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective program and project delivery, including the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering career development programs.
