We're excited to welcome an Administration Officer to our Emergency Department team.
The Administration Officer - Emergency provides a high level of confidential administrative support for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS). This role will provide frontline 24/7 administration support within the Emergency Department (ED). The incumbent will be responsible for the prioritisation and planning of workloads. This role exists in an environment of interruption and sometimes difficult public/customer relations and functions with a degree of independence. This position works a 24/7 rotating roster and applicants will need to be available for all shifts as rostered.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Effectively communicate with patients and family members whilst demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.
- Provide high quality confidential administration support to the ED Access & Flow team.
- Consult with patients/family members on arrival to obtain correct details for completion of demographic details and record this information accurately into the hospital information systems used within the emergency department.
Salary rates: $49.97 - $55.57 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (AO3) (casual positions available) Applications will remain current for 12 months.
