The Birdie’s Tree Disaster Resilience and Recovery Program is a child- and family-centred mental health promotion initiative that supports the social and emotional wellbeing of infants, children and caregivers in the context of natural disasters. We are seeking an Administration Officer to Provide the function of administrative support to the staff of the Birdie’s Tree Program.

About the Team

The Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health (QCPIMH) aims to support parents, caregivers and communities to have the confidence, knowledge, skills and resources to support their own wellbeing and raise emotionally healthy and resilient children.

About the Role

  • Work collaboratively and supportively with other administration and reception staff to support the operations of the Birdie's Tree and child and youth mental health service and the children and families accessing the services.
  • Work autonomously to provide effective administrative and reception support to the Birdie's Tree team.
  • Produce reports from a variety of information systems including financial and HR Systems within the required timeframes.
  • Execute ethical decision-making in the achievement of departmental and organisational objectives
  • Provide secretariat support for various meetings, including the preparation and disbursement of relevant documents and arranging attendees, venues, equipment, stationery and catering as required.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend/implement enhancements to existing administrative practices.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of the unit on a day-to-day basis and work autonomously in the absence of the birdie's tree clinicians or team members.
  • Liaise with various other service providers and organisations, as directed.
  • Coordinate and maintain the calendars of the clinical staff including room and vehicle bookings.
