Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $111,198.00 to $119,071.00 p.a. (NG6 Band 1)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Clinical Nurse/Midwife will facilitate and provide a clinic and community-based child and youth health nursing service for Charters Towers. This includes, but is not limited to, immunisation scheduling and provision, developmental assessments, hearing screening, facilitating the school immunisation program and supporting a visiting paediatric specialist clinic.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent with Child and Family Health Certification or Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent with Child Health Certification are mandatory qualifications for this position.
  • Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
  • Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
  • Travel: Travel by light aircraft may be required.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
