About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to engage with the hospital based multidisciplinary teams for a varied and complex caseload of patients with foot disease in an inpatient and outpatient setting. The role will deliver independent high-level podiatric management for people accessing care at the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Utilise high-level clinical skills, knowledge and independent professional judgement to manage a varied and complex caseload within the podiatry high risk foot services of Metro North Health, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. The setting is a hospital podiatry service for the management of complex foot conditions in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with patients, healthcare providers in the multi-disciplinary team and external partners to influence clinical outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within specialist clinical service areas, and advocate for service improvements that enhance the delivery of podiatry services across STARS and wider Metro North Health, utilising identification and application of guidelines and business improvement plans.
