Reporting to the Director of Quality and Safety, you will serve as a trusted business partner to our clinical delivery areas. You will lead the development of frameworks that monitor and evaluate standards of care, ensuring our health service meets all National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. Your role is vital in promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, where data is used to empower our people and provide amazing care to every Central Queenslander.

The Quality and Safety Division leads and supports the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care across Central Queensland Health. Operating as a trusted business partner to all clinical delivery areas, the Division provides expert guidance, governance frameworks, and practical support to ensure care is delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety. Through close collaboration, it helps clinical teams translate data, evidence, and insights into meaningful improvement actions that enhance outcomes for patients, staff, and the organisation.
About the role:
- Provide leadership and expert quality management informed by strategic direction.
- Lead the development of systems to support performance monitoring and innovation.
- Proactively lead innovation projects to improve service delivery across the health service.
- Prepare ministerial responses and high-quality reports for Executive submission.
- Foster a performance culture through mentoring and developing your team.
About you:
- You have a proven track record of leading teams and delivering results in complex environments.
- You possess expertise in project management and working within evidence-based frameworks.
- You have strong skills in data manipulation and clinical governance systems (e.g., Power BI).
- You are dedicated to consumer partnerships and understand how they contribute to safety outcomes.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $168,001 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $137,355 - $147,245 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
