Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $216,643 to $274,678 p.a. (L18 - L27)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Attraction and retention incentive allowance
  • Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
  • Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

Positions are available for specialist psychiatrists in the field of: Adult Psychiatry – Community Team and Holiday Reliever.

  • Provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit the patients of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS). This includes research as well as teaching the health professionals of the future.
  • Lead and manage the provision of medical services in accordance with the standard of the speciality, the ethics of the profession and in accordance with the THHS and Queensland Health (QH) policies, in a hospital, community and outreach setting for the Adult Community Teams and/or the Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit AAMHIU).
  • Work in a collegial, multi-disciplinary team settings, within a supportive framework of peer and operational supports.

All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the Service.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (if applicable).
  • All applicants must be awarded ScCP by the THHS Credentialling and SoCP committee.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
