Your new role:

As a Senior Rehabilitation Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering advanced clinical services and contributing to service excellence within brain injury rehabilitation.

  • Deliver high-level Clinical Psychology and/or Neuropsychology assessment, intervention and evaluation for patients within an interprofessional Brain Injury Service team.
  • Apply advanced independent clinical judgement in complex brain injury rehabilitation, acting as a clinical reference point and responding to everyday clinical demands.
  • Lead and contribute to service development, quality improvement, research initiatives and evidence-based practice enhancements.
  • Provide supervision, training and clinical guidance to HP3 clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants, supporting capability development across the service.

About you:

You are a highly skilled and collaborative psychology professional who is passionate about advancing rehabilitation outcomes and supporting excellence in clinical practice.

  • Demonstrated high-level expertise in delivering psychology services within brain injury rehabilitation, including complex assessment, intervention and discharge planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and provide high-level clinical advice.
  • Proven leadership capability, including supervision and training of junior clinicians and students, and contribution to team development.
  • Experience initiating, implementing and evaluating service improvement and quality initiatives within a complex healthcare environment.

About us:

Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Neuropsychologists and Health Psychologists are employed within the Psychology Department, Division of Allied Health & Rehabilitation, and within outreach and specialist services including the Acquired Brain Injury Outreach Service, Transitional Rehabilitation Service, Alcohol and Drug Assessment Unit and Persistent Pain Service. They are also integrated into the QEII Hospital and service units and teams within the Metro South Addictions & Mental Health Service and Queensland Transcultural Mental Health Service.
