In this role, you will manage, coordinate, edit and prepare correspondence and briefing notes to deliver high-quality, timely and coordinated advice and information. You will support the Executive Director, Health Service Evaluation, Research and Evaluation, the Deputy Director-General Clinical Excellence Queensland, the Director-General and the Minister for Health by ensuring all documentation is accurate, clear and aligned with departmental standards and priorities.

What you'll do 

  • Prepare and edit correspondence and briefing materials to ensure information is accurate, relevant and delivered within required timeframes.
  • Assign, track and monitor all incoming and outgoing correspondence to maintain workflow visibility and accountability.
  • Maintain an effective records management system to support efficient correspondence processes and tracking.
  • Liaise and consult with senior management and departmental officers to ensure correspondence is completed in line with agreed standards, processes and deadlines.

About you

We are searching for someone who:

  • Demonstrates experience managing high volumes of incoming and outgoing correspondence, including proof-reading, formatting, editing and quality assurance.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, with strong written, verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to engage effectively with officers at all levels.
  • Manages time effectively, works autonomously and collaboratively, prioritises competing tasks and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Shows commitment to continuous improvement and has experience implementing changes to enhance work practices and service delivery.
