Your new role:

This senior clinical leadership position is responsible for advancing radiation therapy education, maintaining specialist clinical standards, and ensuring high-quality patient care through evidence-based training and development programs.

  • Maintain specialist-level expertise in radiation therapy planning and treatment, contributing to and reviewing clinical protocols within a comprehensive quality framework.
  • Lead, develop and oversee education, training and orientation programs for graduate and undergraduate radiation therapists, ensuring high teaching and clinical standards.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to universities, regulatory bodies and professional forums, contributing to consistent education standards at District, State and National levels.
  • Manage educator staff and performance processes, analyse emerging trends in clinical education, and implement strategies to strengthen service capability and workforce development.

About you:

You are a highly skilled and registered Radiation Therapist with a passion for clinical education, professional leadership and continuous improvement in patient care.

  • Demonstrated specialist-level clinical expertise in contemporary radiation therapy practice, including planning and treatment delivery.
  • Proven ability to design, deliver and evaluate evidence-based education and training programs within a clinical environment.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience managing educators, mentoring graduates, and contributing to research and quality initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide high-level clinical advice and collaborate effectively across academic, regulatory and health service settings.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) Cancer Services is a highly developed, multidisciplinary cancer service in one of Australia's largest teaching hospitals.

The hospital provides a comprehensive adult cancer service encompassing haematological, surgical, and medical and radiation oncology specialities.
