Your new role:

As a PHO / Registrar, you will deliver safe, high-quality paediatric and neonatal care while developing your clinical capability by:

  • Managing inpatients and outpatients under consultant supervision.
  • Conducting assessments, ordering investigations and developing management plans.
  • Participating in emergency care and daily inpatient reviews.
  • Preparing clear documentation and discharge summaries.
  • Supporting junior staff and contributing to education and clinical meetings.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

About you:

You are a dedicated medical practitioner committed to patient-centred care, with:

  • A medical degree and registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Clinical skills in Paediatrics and Neonatology, including acute care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management and sound clinical judgement.
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and teamwork.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
