About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide clinical Nuclear Medicine Scientist (HP3) clinical services across multiple (more than one) nuclear medicine modalities commensurate with the level of experience. Modalities include SPECT/CT imaging, PET/CT imaging, Diagnostic CT imaging, Bone Mineral Densitometry, Radiopharmacy with GMP standards.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver Nuclear Medicine Scientist clinical services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards within established clinical and radiation hygiene protocols.
  • Exercises professional judgement in decision making in a complex clinical environment, solving clinical problems under the supervision and guidance of an experienced Nuclear Medicine Scientist.
  • As required work as part of the Nuclear Medicine Scientist team to provide Nuclear Medicine services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and Queensland Children's Hospital.
  • Manages own professional standards, including maintaining radiation licencing (prescribed), MRPBA registration, recency of practice and CPD requirements.
