The role:
You will plan, cost, coordinate and prepare specialised work packages involving IM/ICT to support customers with their IT requirements by undertaking the initial high-level analysis and facilitating expert consultancy on project management, requirements development, solution design, software application development/acquisition, systems integration, testing and requirements for deployment, operations, and support.
Further duties include:
- Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality program documentation and key artefacts to support effective governance, assurance, and delivery outcomes
- Analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages involving IM/ICT, ensuring solutions delivered are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in an enterprise environment.
- Manage and report on project performance against agreed specialised work packages and schedules.
- Manage resources and expenditure within the agreed work package budgets and agreed project forecasts.
- Undertake risk and issue identification, assessment, and mitigation activities by ensuring risks and issues are documented, reviewed, and escalated as appropriate.
- Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies, and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.
- Lead the identification, analysis and redesign of business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and program service quality.
- Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitate effective communication and foster relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
Is this opportunity for you?
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in the provision of support to large scale, complex IM/ICT programs and projects; specifically, in planning, initiation, stakeholder management and communication, reporting, budgeting, financial and risk management, and project closure.
Your well-developed negotiation and communication skills will enable you to effectively negotiate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the coordination of outputs of multiple specialist teams to deliver the solution as well as the preparation of written communication materials and service agreements.
You will have a proven ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages with a keen eye for detail.
You will show extensive experience and application of appropriate project and program management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2 and MSP), and an ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and methodologies.
Relevant project management qualifications will be well regarded.
