We're excited to welcome a Social Worker Advanced – Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Mental Health Coordinator to our Recovery and Partnerships team.

This role provides advanced clinical knowledge and skills to deliver specialised contemporary evidence-based Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) consultation and leadership to MHSS. This role is responsible for the embedding of DFV Capability Framework in Sunshine Coast Health MHSS in partnership with Sunshine Coast DFV Specialist Health Workforce (SHW) to ensure the education and upskilling of all mental health staff.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Apply advanced specialised knowledge and risk assessment skills in providing consultation to teams focusing on upskilling clinicians to assess, formulate, and respond to MHSS consumers experiencing or using domestic and family violence ensuring culturally appropriate and consumer focused outcomes.
  • Enhance current MHSS risk assessments by identifying, establishing and developing processes and practices that support high quality responses to people experiencing and using DFV, reducing risks of DFV related harms, suicide and homicide working in collaboration with Sunshine Coast DFV Specialist Health workforce.
  • Representing MHSS as part of a High Risk DFV integrated systems response on the Sunshine Coast in collaboration with the SCHHS DFV Unit.

Remuneration value up to $172,615 p.a., comprising salary between $144,991 -  $151,289 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5).
