What you'll do 

In this role, you will build functional relationships within client groups and develop management and employee capability in line with strategic initiatives and operational priorities to assist client groups in achieving consistent work health and safety practices and performance outcomes.

About you

We are searching for someone with:

  • High-level influencing skills with the ability to effectively consult and engage with clients and stakeholders within a multidisciplinary environment, providing advice and guidance on health and safety matters.
  • Technical knowledge and skills in the area of health and safety legislation, standards, Codes of Practice and guidelines with experience in risk management, problem solving, investigation and auditing to provide client-focused solutions on safety issues.
  • High level interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring clients and stakeholders on health and safety matters to build capability and embed a strong safety culture across a complex and geographically dispersed organisation.
  • The ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload and collaborate with others in a positive team environment to achieve team goals while contributing to program development and continuous improvement initiatives

In this role you may be infrequently subject to disturbing circumstances and material which could lead to vicarious trauma. This may be through talking with other employees who have had direct contact with such material or situations; incident reports and investigations and/or visits to client locations.
