Are you looking for a new adventure? Perhaps adding to your skillset? Challenging yourself in a new environment? Pathology Queensland is seeking a Pathology Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent part-time role (38 hours per fortnight). This role will provide efficient and effective support to Medical, Scientific and Technical staff for services in Anatomical Pathology and the Mortuary.
What you'll do
In this role, you will provide assistance to scientific and technical laboratory staff by operating, monitoring and maintaining the instruments, equipment and facilities of the laboratory and mortuary. You will also actively support specimen processing performing specimen reception, registration, storage and disposal including data entry.
About you
We are looking for someone who has experience in, or a desire and ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in Anatomical Pathology laboratory and Mortuary duties. This role requires a high level of interpersonal skills and communication skills to enable effective interaction within a work group and between clients (internal and external). If you have proficiency in the use of laboratory information systems or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills, this is highly regarded.
