About the role
You will provide vital clinical and operational support across a broad range of Allied Health services including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Dietetics, Psychology, Podiatry, Pharmacy, and more. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help ensure safe, effective, and efficient care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
- Perform complex duties commensurate with level of training and competency and provide a defined range of treatments for patients with complex conditions, including using decision support tools, clinical pathways and patient guidelines.
- Initiate changes to management/review programs for patients with hearing loss, under the guidance of the Allied Health Professional and with the use of decision support tools, clinical pathways and guidelines.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients, or families of patients within defined topic areas as delegated by the Allied Health Professional to ensure positive outcomes of diagnosis and intervention. strong>

Requirements
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Possession of, or active progress toward, a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent). Where the qualification is not yet complete, successful applicants will be required to attain it within the first 12 months of employment.
- Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires a Blue Card is obtained prior to appointment to this position.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
