Blackwater Hospital is a vital 16-bed Multi-Purpose Health Service located 200km west of the coast. We are the heartbeat of our family-oriented community, providing acute care, 24/7 emergency services, and essential aged care. Our facility operates as a connected interdisciplinary team, supported by visiting allied health and specialist services, all dedicated to ensuring Central Queenslanders are among the healthiest in the world.

About the role:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across acute, emergency, and aged care settings.
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Actively participate in clinical audits and quality improvement activities to ensure patient safety.
- Act as a team leader or shift coordinator to support effective clinical coordination.
- Contribute to a supportive learning environment through the mentorship of fellow staff and students.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain clinical competencies and best practices.
About you:
- You are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and an annual practising certificate.
- You bring recent experience in an acute setting, with emergency, triage, or ALS skills being highly regarded.
- You possess well-developed clinical knowledge and advanced problem-solving skills.
- You have a high-level understanding of legislation and standards relevant to contemporary nursing practice.
- You are a natural leader capable of providing clinical nursing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment.
- You hold high-level interpersonal and communication skills, interacting professionally with all stakeholders.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $124,741 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $42.98 - $55.13 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
