Role details
The Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for a Cook to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
Provide effective and efficient Operational Services whilst always adhering to organisational standards, policies and procedures.
The purpose of this position is to provide an effective and efficient catering service through the production of quality food menu items, for a variety of clients and dietary requirements. This position has strong emphasis on food safety according to Australian New Zealand Safety Authority (ANFSA) and the Proserpine Hospital Food Safety Plan.
About the Team
The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities: The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine. The hospital is a 33-bed acute hospital, which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of Community Health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team.
The Operational Services Department plays an important role in providing a 7 day a week service supporting the delivery of a quality and cost-effective health service. A wide range of functions are covered by the team, including cleaning, clinical support, facility maintenance coordination, food services, grounds maintenance, garden services, home care services, removal of waste, linen services, transport of patients, equipment and materials around the hospital, stores, transport and ward services. This position will also be required to work with, and provide support and advice to Team Leader, Supervisors and/or Manager of Operational Services.

The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
