The Principal Executive Officer provides high level executive support to the Director of Forensic Science Queensland and the division’s senior management team in relation to strategic, operational and corporate governance issues, and including financial, human resource, facility, information technology and asset management, procurement and Ministerial, Cabinet, Parliament, Executive Council matters and related processes.

Your key responsibilities
• Provide executive and business support to the Director through advice, problem solving, analysis and strategic thinking.
• Support the delivery of services by Forensic Science Queensland and consult, develop and maintain corporate relationships across the department to achieve strategic solutions.
• Support Forensic Science Queensland's responsibilities associated with the proactive release of Cabinet submissions to meet timeframes stipulated by DPC's proactive release policy.
• Coordinate and/or prepare complex correspondence, memoranda and briefings on a wide range of subjects including confidential and sensitive matters (such as annual reports, ministerial correspondence, general briefing notes, questions on notice, estimates papers, ministerial portfolio statements, speeches and parliamentary requests) as required to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor and analyse the budget and provide accurate advice on budgetary performance to the Director, senior management and departmental officers
• Support the Division in corporate governance practices including reporting, performance management and business continuity planning.
