This newly created role within the Child Development Service offers the opportunity to deliver specialised child development care across the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service. As a transdisciplinary specialist, you will work under the direction of an allied health manager alongside a team that includes a speech pathologist, physiotherapist, psychologist, and close collaboration with TCHHS Paediatricians. You will also partner with rural generalist clinicians in Weipa, Cooktown, and Thursday Island, as well as the Allied Health Cape York Outreach and Early Childhood Program teams, contributing to skill sharing, education, and peer supervision. Based in Cairns, you will provide culturally appropriate, evidence‑based services through an outreach model, travelling regularly by commercial and charter aircraft, with face‑to‑face care supported by telehealth delivery.
