About Your Role
As a Project Officer within Maintenance Services, you will support the planning and delivery of minor works and asset maintenance activities across Metro South Hospital and Health Service facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of minor works and asset maintenance projects
- Coordinate project documentation, reporting and work order implementation
- Monitor project progress to ensure delivery within scope, budget and timelines
- Liaise with clinical staff, facility managers, consultants and contractors
- Coordinate on-site works with contractors under the Notice of Impending Activity (NIA) process
- Conduct site inspections during project scoping, delivery and handover phases
About You
You are an organised and proactive project professional who enjoys coordinating projects in complex operational environments.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Experience supporting or delivering projects in infrastructure, facilities or asset environments
- Strong project coordination skills including planning, reporting and documentation management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities across different sites
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and implement solutions
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment

About the Assets and Infrastructure Division
The Assets and Infrastructure Business Unit (A&I) enables Metro South Health to continue to expand its scope and capacity of clinical services through the effective leadership of master-planned facility renewal and redevelopment. A&I undertake infrastructure planning through the development of business cases to deliver on the priorities identified within the Metro South Health Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP). We further deliver the identified Priority Capital Works and Capital Infrastructure projects within defined guidelines.
