Your key responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage a large number of complex and sensitive payroll cases and legal issues by analysing data accurately, reconciling pay records, reviewing and preparing supporting documentation and liaising with staff and other stakeholders.
- Manage debt recovery and/or legal services to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established client service standards, timeframes, business and control processes, and reporting requirements.
- Provide expert technical advice and recommendations to the Manager, Payroll Recovery Services, and other internal and external stakeholders, in relation to overpayment management, particular debt recovery and legal services.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Demonstrated highly developed written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate, influence and solve problems in a client-focussed environment of change and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of and to provide accurate advice in relation to Payroll Services in accordance with relevant legislation, directives, awards, policies and procedures, including demonstrated experience with payroll and/or finance information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to support and operate within a relationship-based culture in a customer service team, involving active and regular engagement and leading the implementation of change initiatives.
