About the role
Provisional fellowship training can be designed around the learning needs and objectives of the final year Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) trainee. We also offer training and experience in adult anaesthesia for a wide range of specialties including Cardiothoracic, General, Vascular, Urological, and Orthopaedic.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Assuming responsibility on behalf of senior medical staff, to ensure the patient's problems are fully assessed and identified
- Ensuring appropriate communication and consultation with colleagues, other professional staff, patients and their relatives
- The fellow will be encouraged to participate in ongoing departmental research or supported to develop a research or audit topic of their own aimed towards presentation and a session per week can be allocated towards research where necessary
- Serve as a role model for more junior medical staff by behaviour and attitude
- Undertake continuing and vocational education of medical and other members of the Health Service.
