An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist Radiologist to join the Medical Imaging Department at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), with clinical responsibilities across both RBWH and the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).

About the role

Reporting to the Medical Director, Medical Imaging, this position provides comprehensive general diagnostic radiology services, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence, teamwork, education, research, and service improvement. The successful applicant will contribute across a broad range of modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, General X‑ray, Fluoroscopy, and Tier A interventional procedures (such as biopsies, drainages, and image‑guided injections).

The role includes participation in an extended hours and on‑call roster and requires a high level of responsiveness to referring clinicians. You will be actively involved in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement activities, discrepancy and morbidity and mortality reviews, and departmental innovation initiatives.
